1 Volunteer Needed for *Project*CleanUp* in Clearwater Florida

Straight Ahead Outreach (Taking Back Your Life) Inc. (STA) is in need of one volunteer to help us with our *Project*CleanUp*

WHEN?

This coming Thursday 5/30/2013

WHERE?

We will be going around in Clearwater and possibly Largo also for approx 3-4 hours.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?

WHAT: Picking up trash and discarding it, locating and picking up shopping carts from local grocery & department stores such as Target Stores, Publix, Walmart, Dollar General, Sam’s Club and more. We will return the carts to their respective places of business.

Straight Ahead Outreach Needs YOU!

Straight Ahead Outreach-Taking Back Your Life Inc.(STA), is a small 501c3 Nonprofit Public Charity. Donations are tax deductible under the 501c3 IRS Tax Code.

We are a Mobile Crisis Outreach with a focus on the homeless or those in need.

We will help anyone in any Crisis if we are able and have the funds to do so.

That is where we need YOU….Please, STA needs your help in order to help others.

We do not consider people living with their families to be homeless. That is how it should be, families helping each other, no matter what age. That is how it was back in Bible times and even not so long ago in the 50′s and 60′s.

Our concentration is on people who are truly homeless, living in the streets, be they newly homeless, long time homeless or soon to be homeless. However, there have been many times over the years where we have helped people living in homes who were simply in a Crisis.

Straight Ahead Outreach typically does more then simply pass items out to those in need. We typically spend a lot of time getting to know the person or persons.

As stated above…..We will help anyone in any Crisis if we are able and have the funds to do so.

Simply put…..We Help people. In any way we can.

We provide Hope in Jesus’ name…Doing Whatever it takes

In November 2009 I created this website on WordPress. I have tried others but WordPress is my favorite.

Currently we are at 9804 Visitors and I expect that we will exceed 10,000 by the end of this month.

I think that’s pretty cool.

My hope is somehow Straight Ahead Outreach-Taking Back Your Life Inc., has made a difference in others lives even in some small ways via this website.

I would like to thank all our visitors and I would also like to thank WordPress for the valuable site. Although we pay for the site now it was free for most of the time that we have had it.

Maybe the next year we can double these numbers. I hope you enjoy, I hope you continue to visit, I hope you tell others and pass it on.

For Today, Tuesday 8/14/2012…..

For today, i am asking you all, us all, each and every single one of us all…..

Not 99% of us and certainly not 1% of us but 100% of us all.

Step beyond Your Self today…..

Step outside of your box today…..

Don’t think about your new boat or where you are going for lunch…..

Don’t think about what new purse or shoes you are going to buy today…..

Don’t think about that motorcycle you want to go look at…..

Don’t think about your man cave today or your collection of cars today…..

Don’t think about that “deal” you will make today…..

Step outside of your world today for a bit and look around you….

Listen around you………..

And find one person, just one will do. One person who you can truly help. Not with just words, but truly physically help.

Is it someone homeless and on the street that you have seen for a long time and always thought about? Maybe you even thought bad things about them?

Is it someone at your place of work? Maybe they just lost their job and will lose their home or car?

Is it someone within your own household or within your own family?

Is it someone you overheard in a coffee shop or grocery store who is in need?

I am asking you, sit down next to them and ask them…physically look them in the eye and ask them…..

“What can I do for you?”

Listen for their answer…..

Be honest……seriously honest…..forget about you for a moment and your desires. be honest about what you are able to do for this person…..

Do you have the means to help them with their need? If you have the means, be they financial or physical….then do it….right then and there.

DO IT.

Make that payment on their house or their car. Buy them some groceries. Pay their utilities or make a payment on them for them. The list could be endless. Pick something and DO IT. Now. Not later or tomorrow, Now.

Lets make a huge impact on the World today!

The impact you could make will very possibly save a life today. It could be a literal life or a life as that person knows it.

Let’s make satan mad today! Or as i have heard others say it…….lets make Hell Mad today!

DO IT! Now! Go find that person right now. I know you will not have to go far.

Remember, it can be anyone, except you.

TODAY! Sunday 7/29/2012 Project Cleanup Commences!

PROJECT *CLEAN-UP/Gulf to Bay Blvd, Clearwater, FLorida*

It is about Responsibility. Accountability. Ours, as a 501c3 Public Charity

STA is here to HELP the Cities in which we operate, Not Blame them.

Everything we do including Project Clean-Up is made possible by Jesus Christ and performed in HIS name.

Volunteers are needed and appreciated!

Straight Ahead Outreach-Taking back Your Life Inc., (STA) along with our belief in Nonprofit Responsibility and Accountability is going to “Adopt Gulf to Bay Blvd” in an effort to keep it clean. It will be done both via car and bicycle :-))!

If this Project *Clean-UP/Gulf to Bay Blvd* is a success, we will add more locations to Project *Clean-Up* to include additional areas of Clearwater, FL and we will also add in St. Petersburg, FL near downtown. Basically, we will perform this project where ever we go.

WHERE: Along Gulf to Bay Blvd from McMullen Booth to Ft. Harrison Ave.

We will be doing this all along the blvd in front of and around businesses, by bus stops and in the hidden areas out of site on vacant properties where some of the very homeless we have helped reside.

WHAT: Picking up trash and discarding it, locating and picking up shopping carts from local grocery & department stores such as Target Stores, Publix, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Sam’s Club and more. We will return the carts to their respective places of business.

WHY: Many times when nonprofits “help” those in the clutches of homelessness by handing out food and other items especially in groups, it ends up creating a good amount of trash. Someone has to pick it up and i do not believe the entire weight of this should be on the city services. Also, many times the trash which is left behind is often assumed to be left behind by one involved in homelessness and our desire is to remove that misconception.

Should those we assist on the streets pick it up themselves? Yes, that is accountability, it applies to them also.

How about if we say this…..”If maybe we as a nonprofit, one with a Mission and Purpose is to provide relief to the poor, underprivileged, distressed and depressed with a focus on the homeless, take the first step, the lead and start picking up some of the trash some of those we help will take the lead and pitch in.”

Either way……….

It is about Responsibility. Accountability. Ours, as a 501c3 Public Charity. That’s the bottom line.
