Yes, What Do We learn from Disasters?
For sure we know a large number of homeless will be added to the numbers
There will be devastation…loss…grief…frustration…hunger…reflection
What else do we learn…? Or, Do we ever even learn….??
Think beyond the destruction, the loss…..is there a message somewhere?
Think about Jesus and His Father God and their teachings, their demands…
What do you notice about disasters?
You see loss of life…
Who is Lost and Who is Left Behind?
As in the recent and very sad destruction in Oklahoma, you see a great deal of destruction of material things, every material thing….
You see people left standing….with nothing but themselves
Figuratively speaking….Naked so to speak…sometimes literally…
Left with nothing…..EXCEPT Jesus and His Father to rely on…to lean on…
To cry to…to yell at….to beg for mercy….
To pray to….to talk to….
To beg for mercy….
Exactly the way GOD Almighty intended it to be…Designed it to be…
I believe these disasters are a reminder for us to LOOK UP!
To be Awake!
Material things are nothing….Nothing.…
Strip them all away with a Tornado, Earthquake, Tsunami or Hurricane…
And all we are left with is each other….or possibly just ourselves….
AND
Jesus Christ and His Father God
Disasters….a Reminder to focus on Them…
Will We??
Or will we focus on our selfish needs and desires even more???
