When it comes to the topic of Homelessness, we as Spiritual Organizations need to focus on our beliefs and the instructions in the Bible given to us by God (Jehovah) and His Son Jesus Christ.   The Homeless Industry, yes it is indeed an industry, you cannot deny that…. The Homeless Industry has created a focus on money and everything that goes along with money including the physical, spiritual, fleshly desire, and yes the all too famous lust of greed and power.   All of this is so far removed from Jehovah God and Jesus Christs intentions that what has happened is the beneficiaries of the services…the homeless, in this example suffer. 

“The Homeless Industry”.  As it is now,  It is of satan.   It must change.  We must change it.  Now, Today.  Remember, these are Jehovah God’s Lost Sheep we are to be helping.  They are NOT manufactured products from the industrial world.

I am using Homelessness here as an example for this discussion because that is the focus of our organization.  However, this can be applied to any nonprofit Spiritual based type organization and those they are formed as a nonprofit to help.  Yes, i realize that you as a Spiritual organization may feel you are following God’s instructions.  However, if your focus is on $$ and raising $$, then you are missing the mark and the point.

Our job as Spiritual Organizations who follow God and Jesus is to seek out and help their Lost Sheep.  It does not include everyone.  I know I know, that is a tough one to swallow.  Could it include everyone?  Did it include everyone in the Old Testament?  Not by any means.   Would God allowed it to include everyone??  Absolutely!   However, that would have meant that they (everyone) would have to obey His Commands.  People turn away from God and Jesus both because they are “lazy” (to use Gods word) and do not want to make the efforts to Do God’s Will here on earth.  You may even pray that prayer….but do you do His will here on earth?  In its entirety?  Do you even try to carry out Jehovah Gods Commandments.  The Hundreds of His Commandments that is?

Am i admonishing you here?   Am i admonishing me here?  Yes, i am.  Do i Love you for wanting to help others and make a difference?  Yes, i do.   So if even i love you as a servant of Jehovah God and His Son Jesus, just imagine how much They Love You.   Now, because of that, we need to step it up a notch, repay them so to speak the respect they so deserve and require, because i tell you this today, satan has stepped up his game.  Big time!   You can feel it can’t you?  I can and i know you can feel it and see it.

Jesus Speaking: Matthew 10:32-42

32 “Everyone, then, that confesses union with me before men, I will also confess union with him before my Father who is in the heavens; 33 but whoever disowns me before men, I will also disown him before my Father who is in the heavens. 34 Do not think I came to put peace upon the earth; I came to put, not peace, but a sword. 35 For I came to cause division, with a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a young wife against her mother-in-law. 36 Indeed, a man’s enemies will be persons of his own household. 37 He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me; and he that has greater affection for son or daughter than for me is not worthy of me. 38 And whoever does not accept his torture stake and follow after me is not worthy of me. 39 He that finds his soul will lose it, and he that loses his soul for my sake will find it.

40 “He that receives YOU receives me also, and he that receives me receives him also that sent me forth. 41 He that receives a prophet because he is a prophet will get a prophet’s reward, and he that receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will get a righteous man’s reward. 42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water to drink because he is a disciple, I tell YOU truly, he will by no means lose his reward.”

As always i ask that you read this for yourself in the Bible and read the scriptures before and after for yourselves.  Please do it.  You get more out of it as God will give more to you when you read it for yourselves.

There are simply things those we are helping must do according to God and Jesus.  The example above is just one of many.  Jesus warns us that he did not come here to mess around and make everything blissful and pretty.  He came to clean house!  To divide those who believe from those who do not.

We must follow Jesus example in doing our work in helping His Lost Sheep.  If those we outreach to include the ones who love and lust after the dark, then those we are to make an attempt on, if they rebuke our attempt, then we move on and focus on His Sheep.  Period.  Then, it is up to God to deal with them.  Maybe God will use the Governments to help those ones, maybe He will bring them round to us later.   That is up to Jehovah God.  Our job as servants is to take care of their  Sheep.

Jesus Speaking: The Sheep and The Goats – Matthew 25: 31-46

31 “When the Son of man arrives in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit down on his glorious throne. 32 And all the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will put the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left.

34 “Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, YOU who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for YOU from the founding of the world. 35 For I became hungry and YOU gave me something to eat; I got thirsty and YOU gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and YOU received me hospitably; 36 naked, and YOU clothed me. I fell sick and YOU looked after me. I was in prison and YOU came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous ones will answer him with the words, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty, and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and receive you hospitably, or naked, and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to you?’ 40 And in reply the king will say to them, ‘Truly I say to YOU, To the extent that YOU did it to one of the least of these my brothers, YOU did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say, in turn, to those on his left, ‘Be on YOUR way from me, YOU who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels. 42 For I became hungry, but YOU gave me nothing to eat, and I got thirsty, but YOU gave me nothing to drink. 43 I was a stranger, but YOU did not receive me hospitably; naked, but YOU did not clothe me; sick and in prison, but YOU did not look after me.’ 44 Then they also will answer with the words, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them with the words, ‘Truly I say to YOU, To the extent that YOU did not do it to one of these least ones, YOU did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will depart into everlasting cutting-off, but the righteous ones into everlasting life.”

We must focus as Spiritual organizations and individual people as followers of Jesus Christ and His Father in Heaven Jehovah God, on the Sheep.  We must separate the Sheep from the Goats.   (This part is going to get ugly here but here goes)  Notice Jesus says, that ” you did this to the least of my brothers, then you did it to me”. And vice versa.  In other translations Jesus also states you did it to my brothers and sisters.  His brothers and sisters are not those who deny Him or rebuke His existence or who simply refuse any knowledge of Him to be shared with them, or those who love the dark, satan that is.  They simply are not His Sheep in this sense and we are not to spend our time …. let alone donated funds on those that are not His Lost Sheep.  We must must must separate the Sheep from the Goats.   And that takes a great deal of effort on reading, studying, meditating on and implementing Jehovah God’s Commands in the Old Testament along with Jesus’s Instruction in the New Testament. 

Funny thing is, i have not seen anywhere in the Bible yet where either Jehovah God or Jesus Christ state that we should form a million different organizations to help people.   He simply gives literally hundreds (not only 10) of Commands to each and every one of us…. individually as individuals how and why we are to help each other and to love each other. 

Another funny thing is, and it appears naively simple i know is this.  If we did the following, we would not have anywhere near the homeless problem we have today….. And this is it, for example, Jesus states the two main Commandments are these when asked by the Pharisees:  Matthew 22: 37-40  

37 Jesus replied: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”

What does this mean?  it means some tough decisions for us a earthly humans.  Does it mean your organization may not be a huge facility anymore?  Maybe.  Does it mean your dream of having a massive facility is dashed?  Possibly.  Does it mean you will have to re-evaluate your salaries that you take from your organization.  Maybe.  What it all means is it is up to God and what he sees as necessary once you have satisfied Him and impressed on Him that you are focusing on Him more then anything else.  Does everything you do extend to those you help that it is only by the Grace of God that they are receiving your assistance in order to show them that Jehovah God IS in fact their creator, giver of life?  I doubt it.  look close, look very close.

Funny story…..not really……tragic actually.   Before i became a nonprofit organization….every single time i helped someone on the streets i used to make a statement to them, that statement was this for example……. I would look them straight in the eyes and state: ” I am giving you this meal because Jesus wants you to be ok and wants you to get back on your feet.”  And i would many times repeat it.   Once i became Straight Ahead outreach-Taking back Your Life Inc., i never once made that statement.     Oh i most definitely let them know where our direction came from, which is Jesus and let them know that is why we do what we do…..however, i never once made that direct statement as i noted above.   satan at work in that?  Absolutely!  Was it brought to my attention lately?  Absolutely.  So please, with all this ranting i am doing, do not think i am saying i am all perfect and blameless.  No, i am just as to blame as you are.  The thing is, Jehovah God, you notice i did not say Jesus…no, Jehovah God has grabbed me by the neck and said …..  ”NOW DO IT MY WAY!”

So i am.

What does this mean then?

1) Tough decisions for us as earthly humans that is for sure.

2)  We must separate the Sheep from The Goats.

3) Help the Sheep to come back to Him or simply to come to Him for the first time.  We can do this by following Gods Commands in the first five books of the Bible.  He lays it out pretty simply and clearly.  It is not as complicated as we as earthly humans try to make it.

4) Let the Government set up their own facilities to help the ones, the goats that do not care, most importantly do not want to hear about God or Jesus, who love the darkness (satans ideals), who want to be on the streets, or love being homeless (believe me they are there).

5) That your organization may no longer need to be a nonprofit? Maybe.  If that be God’s Will.  Would you be willing?

6) That you may need to rely on Jehovah God to bring you everything you need to help His Sheep?  Yes, including funds from those not seeking a tax deduction?  Maybe, if that be God’s Will.

7) Does it mean that maybe your organization will not be funneling millions of dollars or even hundreds of thousands to help anyone you so chose to?  Possibly, if that be Gods Will.

8) By doing what God says and what He himself Commands.  Your organization, or you as an individual will be given your due as per what God desires to give.  Period.  Just as He did for Moses, Abraham, David, Lot and the rest.  Some were made Kings ( had great wealth) and some were simply made great leaders (still had much wealth).    God wants us to be responsible with what He provides to us.  He does not want His Gifts to be used on those who do not desire to do His Will or even hear about it.  However, do not misunderstand the wealth thing……. They all used their wealth to help God’s people/Sheep.  Are you?  Or does your wealth, your salary from your organization go to you and yours only?  Look closely, look very closely.

9) Bottom line what it all means is this:   Are you doing what you are doing for you, or are you doing it for God?  And IF you are, are you doing it like He said, like He Commands.  You must look at the first five Books of the Bible to know this.  Look at ALL His Commands.  Not just the Famous 10, which man has made millions of dollars off of.  Don’t think of it as simply a famous movie.  That movie is very misleading as there are hundreds more of severely important commands from Jehovah God.   Then you must compare what Jesus instructs in the New testament and you will notice a very simple thing…..Jesus constantly refers back to the scripture as given by His Father, God, (whom i choose to refer to as Jehovah God) in other words the Old testament.
