Today, Monday 8/6/2012 was one really long day which began at 6:30am this morning.

I was scheduled to pick up two of our Friends In Need, a male and a female and take them to downtown St. Petersburg, FL from Clearwater, FL.  About 30 miles from where i had to pick them up.

Normally, if i can at all prevent it, i try real hard not to involve my wife Pat in these situations.  Due to the time frame of when i had to have the two individuals in need to downtown St. Petersburg and also the time my wife needs to be to her secular job (about 7:00am-7:30am), i had no choice but to have her with me.

This particular morning i was not looking forward to going, something was not “feeling” right.   I really did not want to go.  But, i knew i had to.  My health has not been great either for quite awhile so that was playing with me too.  Still i knew i had to go.  

The “catch” was, i was only originally scheduled to pick up the female by herself.  The night before she informed me that her male friend, who had disappeared from view so to speak on 7/5/2012 was now back in the picture. There is a lot of history which i will not go into here but this made a myriad of things run through my head, one of which was a feeling of uneasiness.   However, i always know Jesus has my back. 

To make a long long ugly story short and spare you all the details….as my wife and i pulled up to pick up the couple i could see i had a volatile situation on my hands.  Yeah, i am used to it, but i do not like it when i have my wife with me.   She really does not need to see it or experience it.  She has seen enough already with this work STA does.

When i got out of the van and the male finally let the female get up and walk across the street to our van, i asked him why he was so upset at 6:45am in the morning.  He knows me pretty well.   This is not the first time we have met.  

The male instantly blew up and went on for about 15 minutes and i am not the type to simply stand by.  We were toe to toe, face to face.  It is too long of a story to go in to, but i can tell you it got very ugly and i almost called 911 but that is not my practice to do so as i believe it is our responsibility to handle it and not the police departments job.  In 27 years of this work, i have never had to call on the police to get me out of a situation.  I do everything in my power always to avoid that.  Thanks be to God and Jesus for we did not need to call once again.  Never have actually in almost 27 years of this work, Jesus’s and Jehovah’s work.  Without them i would have had to probably call 911 countless times already!  :-))!

The male got very ugly and was trying to egg me on to hit him as is his M/O per what he himself has told me.   I didn’t go there and with Jehovah God and Jesus Christs Help i know i do not need to.  Today was no different.  The male didn’t care or give any consideration whatsoever to the fact that my wife was in the van.   That made me more upset then anything.   He is very fortunate that Jesus has me under control.  I can assure you of that.  If this was 1990, it may have been a very very different outcome with him going to the ground and not getting back up.  I Thank Jehovah and Jesus Christ for that and this man should also.

However, as you will see in my next blog which i hope to put out tonight also, i will still help this male when ever he calls or i run into him.  I care about him and so does Jesus and Jehovah.  THEY want their Lost Sheep back and this male is one of those.   I will help him as many times as it takes.  It is the type of business we are in, plain and simple.

But Again….however………there is my beautiful wife Pat.  

I would like to extend my deepest apology in writing….out in the public view for putting her in that situation this morning ….especially before she had to go to her stressful job.  I am sorry my Love, My Most Sweet!  :-))!  I cannot “promise” as you well know that it will not happen again….but i will guarantee you i will do everything i can do to NOT have it happen again.  I will switch up the schedule if i feel it will happen.

In addition…..after this altercation and the male going on his own way, i drove my wife to work with the female still in the van.   As we dropped my wife Pat off at work she still took time to stop and give some very excellent Godly advice to the female.  She took her time speaking to her, showing her she cared, showing her she mattered.  

She could have simply bailed the heck out of the van, but she didn’t.

Patty, My Love, I Thank You for putting up with today, for taking the time to talk to our female friend in need.  For not bailing.

Again, i apologize for you having to see the ugliness this morning as i know you were frightened.  I am truly sorry for that.  I will take steps as you know i always do to prevent it from happening again.  next time i will take more steps.

I Thank You, for being YOU.  It ended up being a very difficult long day…..but the Impact you helped make today was massive.

I Thank Jehovah God for you, as i know He brought us together almost 9 years ago now.  (Bet you are re-thinking that now eh!!!???)  :-))!
