Keeping My Word………..

I do not seem to have a problem keeping my word when i am helping or working on issues with and for our Friends In Need.  However, what am i always saying our “Purpose” is here on this Earth?   I always say our Purpose is simply to help others and that if Jesus did everything His own self, than what would he need us for?

It is more than just doing what we ourselves need done.  Whether it be in our personal or professional lives.  It is keeping our word to help someone else in a different realm, or someone who may be simply trying to accomplish their own dreams, dreams possibly of helping others too.

Have you told someone you would try and help them recently?  Have you been doing your share in helping them?  Are you Keeping Your Word?

I have.

What i mean is….  I have, told someone i would help them.  I would help them try to get the word out on their dream, their dream to help others.   They have a new start-up designed to help others.

Have i kept my word?  Simply…….  NO, No i have not.

It is 11:40am on Friday 9/9/11 as i write this.  I am already into my day full throttle doing what i need to do to concentrate on our own issues.  Our own concerns.  Every single night of the week and every single morning i say to myself…….I am going to do some things to help my friends dreams happen.  Something, anything, i will do it later tonight or in the morning first thing.  But then….something always happens to make that not possible or there is something i need to concentrate on, planning and creating in order to keep our organization going.  Ours, mine, me.  What about my friends?

I forget.  I put it off.  There are excuses why i did not take the time, create the time, spend the time, to help my friend with his concerns.  Ohhh, i have soooo much to worry about etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Shame on me.

We are here, all of is on this Earth,  to help others.   I gave my word to this friend and i have dropped the proverbial ball.

Oh sure, i have a link to his website/blog on our website and i have one of our Web pages specifically for his site and what it does for others.  however, it simply is not enough and i know it is not enough.

So…….  I am right now…forcing myself…..yes forcing…..to stop and think of him and my word i gave him to help him spread the word of what his dreams are and what they do for others.  Forcing as in …..making myself take the time, spend the time, create the time to help him.  That is my duty as a Jesus following soul.  It is my duty to keep my word and help others beyond ourselves and our organization.  I am “forcing myself” away from myself.  To concentrate on this other need.  It is also something i want to do.    Am i obligated?   Absolutely.  Am i honored by this obligation?

There are other organizations and individuals in this same position with the same friend i will speak about in a minute.  I ask those………are you keeping your word?  Do you put it aside to concentrate on your issues?  I ask you…..do it now….right now……stop and Keep Your Word.  The Word you gave to him to help and participate in his program……………..

We are a participant/partner of Responsible Referrals and we have an obligation to help him help others.  We gave our word, i gave my word i would participate not only in the hope of one day gaining donations for our org from his org, but also in helping him spread the word about what he does and who he is.  This blog will now automatically post to FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn.  I hope it helps.  I hope it creates/sparks movement, business, relationships and especially as an end result….his dream of successfully helping prevent homelessness.

That brings me to this.   I believe Mr. Taylor is one of the souls out there we all need more of in our world.  He wants to help others, especially those who are homeless or soon to be homeless and with a focus on protecting/securing the stable lives of children.

I believe Mr. Taylor is a straight up type of person.  I believe he is honest and possesses integrity.  I believe no matter what you are doing, you would benefit from knowing him personally and or doing business with him.
